This is a* travel blog of the Sinnamon family’s year traveling overseas. I’m the dad, Ben. It’s my first blog, so bear with me. Or don’t. I really don’t give a shit. Even if it was the best blog ever, I don’t expect anyone to really care about someone else’s travels. Mostly I just want to keep the few people who will care (Hi Mom!) up to speed, and to record this experience, because it’ll only happen once.

My wife Hilary and my two kids Julia (10) and Decker (8) are cool and kind and funny and easy to hang out with. We live in a mountain town in Idaho, and we love the place and the people and the life. We travelled a lot before the kids came along, and they’re at what we thought were good ages, and we thought it might be good for them to see some other parts of the world, so we went.

I told them when we get back we could get a dog.
