OK! Let’s check in on the status of the competition between this blog and Earth to Jules. Which, in my opinion is not really that great of a blog, but let’s see what the people have to say!

FU…I mean…Dang it!

OK, I mean, yeah, the numbers look bad at first glance. The Girl has more than twice as many views. And WAY more visitors. Perhaps people are not that interested in list of birds I may or may not have seen and food I may or may not have eaten? Perhaps they are interested in actual information about our trip, like where we went, and what we did, what happened and stupid boring stuff like that? I don’t know. I’m on this trip and I don’t even care about that, so whatever. There’s no accounting for people’s tastes.

And after a deep dive into the stats, turns out my 3 followers are Caroline Amport (Thank you Caroline!), me and…ugh… Jules…which, not going to lie, made her laugh her ass off right in my face this morning. That sucked.

The comment tally would also seem to imply that her readers are quite a bit more engaged. BUT I’m 99% sure that Julia told me that Ms. Alexander makes her entire Hailey Elementary School class read her blog and I can only assume that because kids don’t like to read that she must be threatening them that they’ll be expelled and then live on the streets as homeless people forever, so that’s not really fair – TO ME. Also, as Jules herself pointed out to me this morning, my blog has lots of bad words, so being not suitable for children limits my readership. Obviously that’s a major factor in why I’m just a touch behind in the count right now. POOP BALLS HELL DAMN FART.

Butt folks, let’s think about this on a more sophisticated level. Anyone who knows anything about the blogometrics and the blogolytics knows the most important stat is Likes. Pure and simple. It’s all about the likes. Everyone knows that. And you’ll note that Earth to Jules has just one (1) like – Ha! PATHETIC. And anyway, 1-0 is pretty much even, so we’ll call this first round a tie.
